How the Academy works
THE SQUADS.
A brand new structure.

SQUAD IS FORMED
-
Our head coaching team will review all of the Expressions of Interest and will select up to 14 (U9 - U12), 12 (U13 & U14) and 10 (U15/16) players who we feel are ready to train in this competitive environment.

Players who are offered a spot in the program will train for 30 weeks in 2025 (term 1, term 2 & term 3).

10 PLAYER COMPETITION SQUADS
-
At the halfway point of each term, 10 players within each age group will be offered a tournament spot, meaning that they will represent Vision Football at the tournament scheduled for the upcoming holidays.

Players will be offered spots as a result of their current level and development, their attitude, and their commitment towards training.

10 WEEK TRAINING BLOCK

Our Academy Squad training runs on Friday afternoons at Chatswood High School (synthetic).
-
Each training block runs for 10 weeks (in alignment with the school term) and will provide our squads enough time to build chemistry and prepare for upcoming tournaments, while also ensuring players are developing individually.

OPPORTUNITY TO COMPETE

The 10-player squads will have the chance to compete at some of the most prestigious tournaments in Australia - the Sydney International Cup (September/October holidays), and the Central Coast International Cup (tbc).

Players will only be offered spots for the upcoming tournament, meaning that the tournament squad for the following tournament will be re-selected at the halfway point of the next term.
30 WEEKS OF TRAINING.
FRIDAYS IN TERMS 1, 2 AND 3.
First training block - 7th February to 11th April
Second training block - 2nd May to 4th July
Third training block - 25th July to 26th September
Players who are not offered a spot within our 2025 Academy Squads cohort will have a chance to join the program at the conclusion of term 3, 2025.
